Rules of the Game
Caro is Gomoku on a square board, 15 × 15 by default. Players take turns placing stones, and the first to line up five in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins. A full board or a draw accepted by both players ends the match in a draw.
Board and Rules
Pick 9 × 9, 13 × 13, 15 × 15 or 19 × 19. Optionally, five in a row does not win when both ends are blocked.
Time Controls
5 to 30 minutes in total, with 15 to 120 seconds per turn.
